TERMS AND CONDITIONS
While we are waiting for you in a transformational retreat, we expect you to familiarize yourself with our terms and conditions to avoid any misunderstandings and for you to be fully ready for your change.
Retreat package
The advertised retreat is only on indicated days that can’t be prolonged or shortened.
I am aware that LIT self-development retreats do not cover flights and do not provide airport transfers and I will have to book this separately. Organizers can help and guide me with local transfers.
The venue and activities LIT self-development retreats offer are designed for all types of individuals. Though you will have your personal journey and discoveries, however, organizers want to emphasize that sessions and other activities will happen in a group context.
Even though sessions will be in a group context, organizers assure guests' privacy and personal limits.
At LIT self-development retreats organizers will try and keep activities/services as they are stated at the time of booking. If organizers are unable to provide some of the promised services/activities, they will make every possible effort to arrange alternative arrangements. For example, if a certain afternoon activity cannot be carried out due to the weather or other conditions and factors that are out of our control then we might have to change our activity plan and do another activity instead.
LIT self- development retreats’ coachers are licensed and with proven experience and will do their best to adapt methods if needed.
All sessions are for groups only. Coaches will not be able to be with one guest solely. For an extra charge, organizers are happy to organize private sessions. This request can’t be addressed during the retreat due to other commitments our coachers might have (unless they would be free at the time of the request). Therefore organizers advise requesting private sessions before coming to the retreat.
LIT self-development activities will have some physical activity involved. (hikes, kayaking, canyoneering). During these activities, it is very important to listen to your instructor/s at all times and for the guest to be aware of possible dangers and risks while being outdoors.
Booking at LIT self-development signifies your acceptance of the activities and services included in the package.
Health, Injuries
Though our planned activities don't require special physical preparation, organizers will need to assure guests will be in good health and able to participate in the activities and sessions.
In case of worsened health conditions before or during the retreat, the guest must inform the organizers.
Risks may occur when participating in physical exercises. If the guest sustains or claims to sustain any injury during/after physical activity or appears to be unwell, tired or unable to participate for any reason, the guest must tell the organizers immediately. Organizers will review the situation and decide what is best for the guest and whether the guest will be able to continue the activity or will need to stop.
Information about the guest
Each person willing to join the retreat will be asked to fill out a form. The form will be to gather information about guests' past self-development experiences, dietary restrictions, and any other information related to and needed for booking and planned activities.
The guest will be asked to fill out a medical declaration form.
The form/questionnaire to be filled in is individual and cannot be filled in or signed by anyone else. Should there be any changes, the guest will have a responsibility to inform LIT self-development retreats in writing.
The LIT self-development retreats will not share any of your personal information or payment details with a third party. Any personal information the guest will declare will be considered strictly confidential and treated as such as stated in the retreat privacy policy.
Participation in the program
To bring the change, organizers carefully crafted the program which is framed by time. For this reason, timing in all activities is important. If for any reason the guest does not show up or arrives late, organizers are not obliged to wait for the guest and we will continue with our program so it would not affect our other guests. We do hope for your understanding on this matter.
Some of the activities will be outside and in other locations. For some activities organizers will need transport to take guests to the departure points. This is why it is also important for guests to be on time and ready for activities of which format they will be informed before coming and later reminded a day before.
There is no obligation to participate in our activities, however, we do believe our guests chose us as they wish a change. For this reason, we expect our guests to feel ownership of their choices.
There will be no refund for guests who do not want to participate in any of the activities during their stay.
LIT self-development organizers or representatives of organizations/companies LIT self-development bought services (sports activities) will make sure that all activities are safe and will advise guests of any potential dangers. If you take part in our activities, it is at your own risk.
There will be no refund if guests sustain an injury or are not able to participate for any other reason during the LIT self-development retreat. For this reason, organizers highly recommend getting travel insurance, it might also cover any injuries or unforeseen problems which may occur during the stay.
Given that the retreat will be on a sunny island with higher temperatures, guests must take precautions to avoid dehydration, sunburn, sunstroke, etc. Water will be provided during activities however organizers expect our guests to take care of the rest to avoid any deterioration in health associated with sun exposure and high temperatures.
Not following instructions safely, and/or guests behaving or acting unreasonably or in a threatening manner during the stay may result in them being asked to leave without a refund.
LIT self-development retreats reserve the right to refuse any guests or returning guests if we feel they would affect the group in a negative way.
General “House rules”
During our retreat we aim to make guests’ stay pleasurable, memorable, and meaningful. To achieve this and assure everyone stays happy and content we will ask guests to follow certain so-called “House rules”:
No smoking in the villa (a designated area outside will be provided for any smokers),
Drinking in moderation,
Respect all facilities you will be in, equipment, and staff.
Organizers expect good behavior from all of our guests. Failing to behave appropriately and with respect towards coaches, organizers, and other staff could result in a fine (depending on what is damaged or any unruliness) or guests being asked to leave the retreat without a right to refund for the days you will not attend.
You will be living with the other guests, sharing your room, so organizers will ask to be mindful and respectful towards roommates.
This retreat will be up to 10 people, but organizers will ask that if guests have any problems or are suspicious of anyone while staying at the retreat venue to inform organizers as soon as possible to address and deal with the situation.
In the villa there will be communal areas, where organizers will ask guests to be mindful and respectful of the other people in the house, and keep noise to a suitable level for everyone. The venue is a place to socialize, relax, recuperate, and learn more things about yourself.
Though everyone will live in a closed community and outsiders will not be entering your rooms or session spaces, we will try to assure that you will have a safe place to keep your valuables. It will be the guests' responsibility to keep their belongings safe and lock the doors. Organizers are not liable for anything being misplaced, lost, or stolen. Please make sure your insurance covers this. The only people able to have access to your room will be the staff for cleaning/changeover services and the person you will be sharing the room with.
Any dietary requirements not stated in our form that will be sent to fill will be at risk or the fault of the person/persons.
More detailed “House rules” will be provided/introduced to you upon your arrival. However, if you would like to learn about them before, please email us and we will gladly send them to you.
Booking
Booking process: the guest will be provided information about the amount to be paid and deadlines to do so.
A reservation requires a deposit of 20% of the total price.
The deposit is non-refundable if the booking is canceled.
The rest of the payment should be paid 15 days before arrival.
If you do not show up or leave the retreat early, there will be no refunds
There is also an option to change your date to another retreat date (depending on availability) free of charge. You will only be able to change to another date one time free of charge. If you have to change to another date again, there will be an admin fee of 100€. If there is a price difference from when you originally booked your retreat, the extra cost will need to be paid.
Cancellation and refund
Organizers try to not cancel a confirmed booking but reserve the right to do so. If organizers cancel a confirmed booking before your arrival, LIT self-development retreats will offer the guest a choice of a full refund or another available date for the retreat.
There will be no refunds on flights as this should be covered by your own travel insurance.
If the cancellation was caused by unforeseen circumstances and out of LIT self-development retreats' control, there will be no refund, but you will be able to transfer your booking free of charge to another available date. Unforeseen circumstances should be covered by your Travel insurance.
If within 3 weeks of your arrival date, there are fewer than three guests attending, we will make you aware of this and we have the right to cancel the retreat. We will offer to move your booking to another retreat date, or a full refund of the booking cost will be given. There is also another option to wait until a week before the arrival date so we can try and fill the spaces but if there are still less than three guests a week before the arrival date, we have to cancel the retreat.
Failure to disclose any information that is required in the forms given may result in LIT self-development retreats terminating the contract and withdrawing the guest from the activity/service on the grounds of incorrect information. The guest would not be entitled to any refund.
